The MDI website was built using the Neto e-commerce platform, to deliver a wholesale e-commerce website that integrated with the company’s custom warehouse and product management software. The site was the core of our company identity, with design decisions guided by the need to maintain a visual continuity for our established customers while delivering a more vibrant and modern look.

A key challenge of developing the website was the Neto platform itself, as we identified problems that required going outside the Neto system. Throughout years of development and maintenance, I extended our site using build tools such as Sass, Grunt and Jekyll to create a more efficient workflow, focussed around using the data to deliver a content-rich website, with both a wholesale and a public face.
